Circular Solutions

At B&C Plastics we believe the only way to secure the future of our plant is to move towards a circular economy. Our passion is to make circular solutions accessible and commercially viable to anyone who is as passionate about making change as we are.

Solutions that align with our circular future

99% of all plastic products manufactured by B&C Plastics are multiple or lifetime products, not single use. If a single use application is proposed, then we review the project with our customer to see exactly where we can close the loop and recapture the product at the end of its life and look to recycle and re-purpose. We promote and encourage the use of recycled polymers where there is a material fit for purpose for the product and the industry. Recycling is crucial, not only to our industry but to our oceans and the well being of our environment. If you are currently manufacturing an item in a virgin material and would like to explore the option of using a recycled material, we would love to hear from you.

At B&C Plastics we integrate a unique and fully customisable circular design framework within our projects to manage and track a products entire life-cycle, from design to disposal, including designing for end of life and expert life-cycle analysis. As product stewards we believe that it is not only possible, but necessary to implement full life-cycle product responsibility within all B&C Projects.

Dulux Project Earth

Dulux Group Australia engaged us to develop a solution to a growing waste problem where used paint pails were costing Dulux Construction customers hundreds of thousands dollars to dispose into landfill. B&C Plastics has developed a proprietary solution to track, collect, and recycle sources of used plastic product to upcycle into new products. At B&C plastics we never say no to a challenge and this was no exception. As such, we began to test and develop a contaminant removal process and after several months we had come to a successful solution. We could even control the amount of contaminant left in the plastic to leave colourful and unique patterns of paint flecks in the injection moulded products. With this breakthrough we began collecting and processing paint pails. We have already recycled over 25 tonnes of paint pails from over 25 construction sites and regenerated more than 15,000 products.
