Our Collaboration with BlockTexx to Create Revolutionary PET Polymers from Recycled Textiles

We are super excited to announce our collaboration with textile resource recovery company BlockTexx and about the results from our extensive research and development activity. Together, over a number of months, we have been exploring, developing, and producing "New-to-World" PET Polymer Grades for Plastic Injection Moulding. The product is made from 100% post consumer, blended CLOTHING and TEXTILES which is extremely cool!

This ambitious endeavor has involved comprehensive research and development from both the BlockTexx and B & C Plastics Teams to create innovative grades of PET that offer performance, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. Rigorous testing protocols including but not limited to evaluating melt flow index, impact strength, and tensile strength to ensure that the materials meet the quality standards required. These efforts are ultimately setting new benchmarks in the industry, demonstrating a commitment to excellence and innovation.

Another tick for Australian Manufacturing in the recycling space.
