When the team at B&C Plastics approached Ryan and Kara about their innovative chicken feeder, the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Ryan and Kara were looking for a way to make Dine a Chook sustainable. As an Australian business, it was important to them that Dine a Chook Feeders and Drinkers continued to be Australian made. Ryan and Kara weren’t willing to outsource manufacturing overseas, but they couldn’t keep up with the orders while making everything by hand.

THE BRIEF

Three green gears with arrows indicating rotation.

Working with B&C Plastics was the perfect solution. With their injection moulding technology and design expertise, B&C Plastics were able to streamline the Dine a Chook manufacturing process. Ryan even had the opportunity to further improve the feeders and drinker range based on his own observations and customer feedback.

“Because we are working with an Australian company,” Ryan says, “our PVC is manufactured exclusively for us. We know it is free from lead and heavy metals, and we have been able to have it certified as 100 % BPA-free.” Unlike cheap, mass-produced imports, Dine-a-Chook feeders and drinkers are manufactured in Australia from Australian materials.
