Plastic injection moulding is the process of manufacturing plastic components.
The method is used to produce all sorts of products, with examples ranging from toys, such as Lego, through to domestic products such as chairs and disposable cutlery, consumer products such as electronic cases, building products such as shims, and plumbing products such as PVC pipes – to name just a few.
Plastic pellets or granules are melted down, with the molten material injected into a purpose-built mould. There are a variety of plastic materials that differ in their underlying properties and are therefore suitable for different applications. Accurate mass-production through high-quality materials is easily achieved using injection moulding.
Plastic Components Contract Manufacturer
At B&C Plastics, we can accommodate all of your injection plastic moulding needs. We are a contract manufacturer and specialise in the design, manufacture and decoration of plastic moulds and products.
We offer an extensive range of plastic injection services using the most advanced machines on the market to design and develop components of the highest standard.
Lead Time & Manufacture
For most of our jobs here at B&C, we have an average lead time of 2 – 3 weeks. This allows us time to allocate the manufacture of your component to a specific machine, order the material and to commence and complete manufacture.
Benefits of Plastic Injection Moulding
The advantages of using the injection mould process include:
- the capability to scale production as required
- economies of scale – whereby the unit cost of production decreases as output increases
- quality consistency and reliability of manufacture
- availability of plastics with varying properties, suitable for varying uses, and
- applications for many industry solutions.
Quantity & Quality
The minimum order quantity varies between our customers dependent on a number of variables and B&C have no set maximum order quantities. Rest assured that no matter how many plastic injection moulded components you order, we will always put the quality of the component first because quality lasts. B&C also have the capability to label and assemble your plastic component/s as additional extras if you choose.
