Achieving Net Zero Workshop

The Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water and Logan City Council hosted an awesome Workshop today at the Kingston Butter Factory Cultural Precinct for Businesses to learn about "Achieving Net Zero". Penny Prasad and Jane Gaffel of The Ecoefficiency Group who are Sustainability Experts, gave a very informative Presentation, including how to implement sustainable manufacturing practices and reduce our carbon footprint.

Energy costs are rising and GHG emissions reporting is becoming a requirement. As manufacturers it`s important to become cleaner and greener now and for what is coming in the years ahead. Penny and Jane talked about the importance of sustainable manufacturing and how decarbonisation applies to our businesses.

Wendy Kent and Megan Hibbert attended the Workshop today and have come back with lots of notes and ideas to implement at B & C.

We are so lucky to have a Business here in Logan, where the Council actively engages with Businesses to help them navigate business requirements. A Council that cares. A huge thankyou to Holly Walton (Logan City Council) for inviting us. Thank you to Michele Cooper (Department of Regional Development, Manufacturing and Water) as always you gave us a wealth of information in addition to the Presentation and offered tools and help in a multitude of areas.
